SEATTLE – Seattle University women's soccer has announced the addition of two transfers for the 2021 season. Jessica Berlin and Hailee Rasmussen will join the Redhawks this fall.

Berlin is a 5-11 goalkeeper out of Burke, Virginia. She previously played at NC State, starting 22 matches in 2019. Berlin posted a 0.95 goals against average as the Wolfpack advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament. Her GAA is the seventh-best in program history. She will have two years of eligibility remaining at SU.

"We are excited to have Jessica join us," said Goalkeeper Coach Scott Newman. "She comes from a prestigious conference and has competed against some of the best teams in the country. We're counting on Jessica's experience and leadership to help us continue to improve."

Rasmussen is a 5-9 midfielder from Salem, Oregon. She played at Colorado College in 2019, earning her team's most improved player award. Rasmussen was a member of Thorns Academy DA from 2015-19, becoming team captain of her club squad. She will have three years of eligibility remaining at Seattle U.

"We're very excited to add Hailee to the roster this year," said Assistant Coach Chris Wells. "She was very successful with her previous stint at Colorado College. Hailee will add a strong presence and a lot of experience to our midfield, while competing to get on the field right away."

The Redhawks won the WAC regular-season title this spring, also advancing to their eighth-straight WAC Tournament Championship game, the longest streak in the nation.
