SEATTLE – Seattle University women's soccer will host nine matches at Championship Field as part of its Fall 2021 schedule, released this morning. The Redhawks won the Spring 2021 WAC regular-season title and advanced to their nation's-best eighth straight WAC Tournament Championship game.
Coach Julie Woodward, entering her 25th season at SU, opens the new season with a four-game road trip. The Redhawks play at Oregon State (Aug. 19) in Woodward's 500th career match as head coach. They then travel to Portland State two days later. On Aug. 26, SU plays at defending NCAA Champion Santa Clara before taking on San Diego three days later.
Seattle U's home opener arrives on Sept. 2, as Eastern Washington visits campus. On Sept. 5, SU welcomes Portland for a Pacific Northwest showdown. After a trip to Washington State on Sept. 16, the Redhawks return home to face Washington (Sept. 16) and Cal Poly (Sept. 19) at Championship Field.
WAC action kicks off on Sept. 25, as the Redhawks travel to California Baptist before playing at NM State (Oct. 1) and Grand Canyon (Oct. 3). A four-game homestand follows, as Dixie State, Utah Valley, Grand Canyon, and NM State visit Championship Field in mid-October.
After trips to Utah Valley and Dixie State, SU concludes regular-season play with a home match against CBU on Oct. 30. The WAC Tournament follows the next week.
