ATLANTA – Seattle University women's basketball has earned a spot on the 2020-21 Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls, the organization announced Tuesday. The Redhawks tied for 24th in the nation with a 3.583 team grade point average this past school year.

Coach Suzy Barcomb's squad excelled in a challenging year as 14 Redhawks posted at least a 3.0 GPA in all three quarters.

"In a year filled with so many challenges, I am incredibly proud our team had the mental fortitude to compete on the floor and in the classroom," said Barcomb. "I've always placed a very high emphasis on academics and I'm thrilled we made the top 25. This has been one of my goals since arriving at Seattle U."

Maine topped the country with a 3.90 team GPA, while Youngstown State and Robert Morris were second and third. SU was the lone WAC program recognized this year.

Seattle U was also one of just 15 Division I programs to play every game on its 2020-21 schedule.
