Seattle U Earns Five NACMA "Best Of" Awards

SEATTLE – Seattle University was recognized at the 2021 National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) "Best Of" Awards, earning five awards, including two gold, two silver and a bronze.

SEATTLE – Seattle University was recognized at the 2021 National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) "Best Of" Awards, earning five awards, including two gold, two silver and a bronze.

The Redhawks' teddy bears initiative was the big winner, claiming gold for Community Engagement & PR and Revenue-Generating Idea, as well as silver for Fan Giveaway Promotion and bronze for Digital Promotion. The "Stuff the Stands" promotion, an alternative to cardboard cutouts, during the winter sports seasons, allowed fans to claim a bear in the stands at the Redhawk Center as their very own. At the conclusion of the season, the stuffed bears were donated to the Denise Louie Education Center where they were distributed to children at the International District graduation this spring.

Seattle U's fifth award was silver for Fan Giveaway Promotion for efforts in a digital advent calendar promotion.

This marked the fourth consecutive year that Seattle U was honored at the annual NACMA "Best Of" Awards, while the five honors was an all-time high.

Initiated in 2003, the NACMA "Best Of" Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 16 categories, with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness.
