SEATTLE – Seattle University Athletics finished out the academic year with another terrific quarter this spring. All 18 teams notched grade point averages over 3.0 in the term, while Redhawk student athletes recorded a 3.393 GPA.
Women's golf wrapped up its fantastic year with a department-leading 3.853 GPA. Women's tennis (3.782), women's swimming (3.613), men's tennis (3.610), and women's basketball (3.604) each compiled GPAs over 3.6 in the quarter. Men's golf put up a 3.545, softball claimed a 3.435, and women's cross country notched a 3.530 to round out the programs with at least a 3.5 GPA in the term.
Rowing ended the term with a 3.441 GPA, while women's soccer was next with a 3.435 mark.
Men's basketball (3.480), volleyball (3.313), men's cross country (3.309), men's track and field (3.206), men's swimming (3.192), men's soccer (3.139), baseball (3.131), and women's track and field (3.060) also performed well in the spring.
A total of 54 Redhawks earned a 4.0 GPA for the quarter. Eighty-seven student athletes logged at least a 3.9 and 191 had over a 3.5 GPA.
