SEATTLE – Seattle U men's tennis has added five signees to their 2021 class, as talented student athletes Filip Stipic, Oliver Hall, Jayden Harrison, Michael Frank and Veselin Kiselkov signed National Letters of Intent to play tennis for the Redhawks starting next fall.
"I am looking forward to adding these five to our group," said Head Coach Kristina Hollander. "All of them are bringing international experience and character to this team which is invaluable. Jayden and Oliver will add great positivity and I know their commitment will serve as a strong example to the rest of the team. Veselin and Filip are both extremely hard workers and will bring with them that fighting spirit. Michael is extremely dedicated to the game which is that final ingredient to a great team dynamic."
Filip Stipic joins Seattle U from Tennis Club Spartak in Subotica, Serbia. Stipic was a national team champion at the U14, U18 and senior level. He joins with national team expierence as he has represented Serbia at the European Championship in Slovakia at the U18 level.
Oliver Hall, a native of Wellington, New Zealand, joins from Wellington College and Khandallah Tennis Club. At Wellington College, Hall was captain of the team and participated in the Hexangular tournament, while with Khandallah Tennis Club, he was a grand finals winners from 2019-2021.
Jayden Harrison joins from New Plymouth Boys High School and Huatoki Tennis Club in New Plymouth, New Zealand. Harrison was runner up at the New Zealand National Doubles Championships in 2016 and finished top-10 at the New Zealand Nationals in 2019.
Michael Frank joins the Redhawks from Eisenstadt, Austria, where he played for Liese Prokop Privatschule. Frank arrives with numerous accomplishments under his belt as he is an Austrian Champion in singles and double at the U16 level, a two-time champion in doubles at the U18 level and has six ITF junior doubles tournament titles. He has also represented his country at numerous events such as the European Summer and Winter Cups in 2018 and was the apart of the doubles winning team at the European Championships in 2018.
Veselin Kiselkov, a native of Burgas, Bulgaria, joins SU from Avenue Tennis Centre. He led his team to the national championship in 2016, while also being the team MVP. Kiselkov also has national team experience as he represented Bulgaria in 2018.
