SEATTLE – Seattle University women's basketball held its annual team banquet on Monday, as the Redhawks recognized their top performers and looked back on a unique 2020-21 campaign.

Coach Suzy Barcomb's fifth year at Seattle U was unlike any other, as the Redhawks worked through the COVID-19 pandemic to complete a season. SU was one of just 15 Division I teams to play every game on its schedule, as the Redhawks got through all 25 games on their schedule. The Redhawks recognized Athletic Trainer Eric Raustein, along with SU's entire COVID protocol team, at the event.

The coaching staff presented awards, as Bree Calhoun, Chinwe Ezeonu, Irena Korolenko, Helen Sauvage, Makenna Schoenhofer, and McKenzi Williams were honored. Calhoun won Best Defender after ranking fourth nationally in steals this season. Ezeonu earned the Scholarship, Skill, and Determination award for her efforts on the court and in the classroom. Korolenko won Most Improved as she saw her role expand throughout her first season as a Redhawk. Sauvage claimed the Together We Soar award for her dedication to the program as a teammate. Schoenhofer took home the Iron Hawk honor for the player who worked the hardest in the Athletic Performance Center. Williams was this year's Challenge, Commitment, Courage recipient after returning from her second torn ACL to lead the team in scoring.
