BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Seattle U men's golf season came to a conclusion on Sunday, finishing in fifth place out of six teams at the Western Athletic Men's Golf Conference Championship in Boulder City, Nev. Seattle U posted a team score of 14-over 878 with its best round of 281 coming in round one. The three day event took place at Boulder Creek Golf Club on the 7,482 yards course with a par of 72.
New Mexico State takes home the team title with a stroke total of 8-under, while Utah Valley's Gabe Lysen wins the individual title at 8-under.
Leading the way for the Redhawks, was junior Nathan Cogswell as he finished tied for ninth place at 1-under 215 (67-74-74). Cogswell made a total of 13 birdies over the three day event and was tied for first in par four scoring at 1-under.
Behind Cogswell, was junior Federico Gutierrez (73-77-70) who finished with a strong third round, while fellow junior Jack Rahon (70-78-73) finished just one stroke behind them. Rounding out the team score are senior Gabe Spach and sophomore Will Koepke, finishing with three round totals of 225 (71-78-76) and 227 (76-78-73),respectively.
