LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Seattle U men's tennis season concluded on Saturday as it fell, 4-0, to #2 seeded New Mexico State in the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament. In the shortened match, New Mexico State came out hot and did not let up.

The Aggies started the match strong by taking the doubles point. Senior Emilio Monroy and freshman Julian Worn (2-6) teamed up against Martin Simecek and Corey Clarke, while freshman Mats Krause and junior Billy Givens-Jensen (1-6) paired up against Nicolas Buitrago and Gijs Akkermans.

In singles play, Monroy (3-6, 0-6) matched up against Clarke, while Krause (1-6, 3-6) battled against Jordy Visser and sophomore Lars Schmassmann (2-6, 4-6) was close to forcing a third set against Petr Stavrovskij. The match concluded after the three New Mexico State victories as it had clinched the match deciding point.

"Our guys played really hard today," said Head Coach Kristina Hollander. "I am really proud of our seniors for their dedication and commitment until the very end. I am looking forward to next season and to see our athletes continue to grow."
