LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Seattle U men's tennis will begin its postseason play this weekend when it travels to Las Cruces, N.M., to take part in the 2021 Western Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament at the NM State Tennis Center from May 1-2.
On Saturday, Both semifinal matches will take place at 12 p.m., as the #3 Redhawks will face off against #2 New Mexico State, while #4 Chicago State will matchup against #1 Grand Canyon.
"We have had a lot of ups and downs this year, however, I believe that each player is capable of winning their next match and helping us win," said Head Coach Kristina Hollander. "We are a very talented team that if we can stay disciplined, I know we can do great things. Moving forward, I am looking to help our guys become more confident and gain more belief in their abilities as we grow as a team."
Seattle U's top doubles pairing is the Second Team All-WAC senior duo of Lucas Cerbelli and Eli Ogilvy, having earned a 3-1 record in WAC play and five victories on the season, while All-WAC Honorable Mention and freshman Julian Worn has been the top singles performer with six wins.
