DENVER – After a stellar outing on the mound Saturday, Seattle U baseball's Peter Chronowski was named Ticketsmarter Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, for his performance during the week of April 12-18.
Chronowski, threw a complete-game shutout in a 5-0 victory over nationally-ranked Sacramento State, helping the Redhawks sweep a doubleheader and secure a series win. The sophomore left-hander scattered four hits over a career-long seven-inning appearance. A native of Littleton Colo., Chronowski also tossed a career-best six strikeouts, as he opened the game with five strikeouts against the first seven batters faced.
This is Chronowski's first time being recognized with the conference's weekly award, and also marks the first Seattle U has been represented this season.
