ST. GEORGE, Utah – Seattle University women's soccer won, 1-0, at Dixie State on Saturday morning. Ava Benedetti scored early in the second half to push SU's unbeaten streak to six with the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) victory.

Seattle U controlled the action throughout, keeping possession and pressuring the Trailblazer backline. When challenged, the Redhawk defense was up to the task, not allowing a shot on goal in the contest.

In the first minute of the second half, Natalie Dixon lobbed a long ball from near midfield that landed at Bailey Hall's feet. Hall gained possession and dished to a cutting Benedetti, who finished with her left foot for the sophomore's second goal in two games.

Madison Waguespack claimed the shutout, her third of the season.

Seattle U returns home for a pair of WAC games next weekend. Grand Canyon visits Championship Field on Thursday, Mar. 11 and Saturday, Mar. 13.
