DENVER, Colo. - Seattle U doubles team of seniors Lucas Cerbelli and Eli Ogilvy has been named as the Western Athletic Conference Men's Doubles Team of the Week for Mar. 23-29, the WAC announced on Tuesday.
The senior duo helped the Redhawks start a two match win streak as they finished the week undefeated at 3-0. They started the week by earning a hard fought 7-6 win over Northern Arizona's Alex Groves and Fucundo Tumosa. Cerbelli and Ogilvy then went on to defeat UTRGV's Samuel de Felipe Garcia and Carlo Izrueta by a score of 7-6 (7-4) and continued that momentum into their final matchup of the week, winning 7-5 over Chicago State's Jakov Suler and Jesus Perez. This is the first conference award for both seniors.
Cerbelli, Ogilvy and the Redhawks will return to action on Apr. 9 with a matchup against New Mexico State in Edinburg, Texas.
