Seattle U Completes Play at Oregon Duck Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. - Seattle U men's golf completed its final tournament before it hosts the Redhawk Invitational on Tuesday as it finished 11th out of 15 teams at the Oregon Duck Invitational. Boise State's Hugo Townsend finished in first place with a shot total of 6-under, while Oregon State captured the team title with a stroke total of 8-over. The Redhawks posted a team score of 62-over 914. The two-day event took place at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore., on the 7,039 yards course with a par of 71.

EUGENE, Ore. - Seattle U men's golf completed its final tournament before it hosts the Redhawk Invitational on Tuesday as it finished 11th out of 15 teams at the Oregon Duck Invitational. The Redhawks posted a team score of 62-over 914. The two-day event took place at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore., on the 7,039 yards course with a par of 71.

Seattle U's best performer was junior Nathan Cogswell who finished in a tie for 47th place with a three-round total of 228 (74-78-76). Fellow junior Jack Rahon (72-79-78) started the event off strong but fell off towards the end, while junior Federico Gutierrez (78-73-79) finished just one stroke behind him. Senior Gabe Spach (79-73-79) performed well in the second round, while redshirt freshman Conor Kelly (83-79-75) made his season debut in this tournament. 

The Redhawks' next event will be when they host the Redhawk Invitational on Mar. 29-30 at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash.
