DENVER – Sydney Carr of Seattle University women's soccer has been named Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Offensive Player of the Week, for the period ending on Mar. 21. Carr put together a record-setting weekend as SU rolled to a pair of home wins.
In two matches, Carr tallied seven goals and two assists at Championship Field. On Thursday night, the junior set a Division I program record with 10 points, also marking a single-game high in Division I women's soccer this season. Carr tied SU's D1 record with four goals.
Two days later, the native of Orange, Calif., posted a hat trick, her third of the season. Carr is the first Redhawk with multiple hat tricks in a season.
In 2021, Carr is tied for the national lead with 13 goals and tied for second with 28 points. In her last four outings, the forward has compiled 10 goals.
