COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Seattle University men's soccer won, 1-0, at Air Force on Tuesday. Noe Meza scored to lift SU to the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) victory at the Holaday Athletic Center.

"I'm proud of our team today," said SU Coach Pete Fewing. "We had to adjust today and stay focused. We played a lot of guys today and people came through for us to get a shutout on the road."

The hosts got the better of the shot count in the first half, as Akili Kasim had to make four early stops to keep the match scoreless. SU tilted the field back the other way as the game continued, but neither side found a goal in the first half.

Both teams searched for a go-ahead goal in the second period, but it wasn't until the 65th minute that it happened. Brad Kurtz sent in a left-footed cross and Meza was on the spot for a header goal and a 1-0 lead. The Redhawks continued to pressure the Falcons' backline as time ran out, but the hosts refused to concede an insurance goal. Kasim came up with a late save to preserve the clean sheet and SU was on its way home with a road win.

The Redhawks return home for a WAC match on Sunday, as Incarnate Word visits Championship Field.
