DENVER, Colo. - Seattle U freshman Julian Worn has been named as the Western Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for Mar. 2-8, the WAC announced on Tuesday.
The Frankfurt, Germany native was one of the Redhawks best performers over the weekend as he earned his second singles win of the season over Lewis-Clark State's Itaru Kikuchi. Worn also helped the Redhawks to clinch the doubles point in that matchup as he and senior Eli Ogilvy started off Seattle U's doubles sweep. This is Worn's 2nd consecutive week with a conference award and his first singles award.
Worn and the Redhawks will return to action on Mar. 12 with a matchup against Montana State at the Amy Yee Tennis Center in Seattle.
