DENVER, Colo. - The Seattle U doubles team of freshman Mats Krause and Julian Worn has been named as the Western Athletic Conference Men's Doubles Team of the Week for Feb. 23 through March 1, The WAC announced on Tuesday.
The German duo went 1-1 over the weekend, earning their third straight doubles victory on Friday against George Fox's Camden Camacho and Hunter Fujimori in a 6-3 scoreline. They have been the best doubles pairing so far this season for the Redhawks with a 3-2 record. This is the first conference award for both freshman.
Krause, Worn and the Redhawks will return to action on Mar. 5 with a matchup against Idaho at the LCSC Tennis Center in Lewiston, Idaho.
