LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The Western Athletic Conference Men's Swim Championships came to close on Saturday. Seattle U amassed 163 points and was listed sixth in the standings.

Jack Neton headlined the final day of events, earning his first All-WAC honor, with a seventh-place in the 200 breaststroke (2:02.04). Neton qualified for the A-Final race behind a prelim time of 2:01.17.

Kyle Bailey meanwhile won bronze in the B-Final of the 200 breast (2:04.05) as he cut one second from his prelim time. He also moved into a tie for ninth on the SU all-time list with teammate Will Corona while logging a lifetime-best.

The evening session began with the 1650 freestyle, which saw Juan Varela lead the Seattle U effort as he swan 16:12.44, while Michael Luna (16:27.96) and Justin Kalugin (16:39.70) followed.

In the 200 butterfly, Ryan Ascencio swam 1:50.57 during prelims and set a new lifetime-best as he trimmed a tenth off the previous mark. He then touched in at 1:51.79 during the B-Final, which was good for fourth.
