LAS VEGAS, Nev. — As the Western Athletic Conference Men's Swim Championships moved to day three, Seattle U continued to make waves on the Friday at the Buchanan Natatorium in Las Vegas, Nev. The Redhawks held at sixth in the overall standings, but climbed to 134 points as eight swimmers compete in the evening session.

The highlight of the day was Will Corona's performance in the 100 backstroke, as he won the B-Final with a time of 49.82, which was a lifetime-best and moved him to second-overall on the Redhawk all-time list.

Seattle U also earned points from Emmett Moore, Tyler Goodspeed and Ryan Ascencio as the trio swam the 100 butterfly B-Final. Moore led the way with a fifth-place finish as clocked in at 49.81. Goodspeed and Ascencio meanwhile followed at 50.64 and 51.52, respectively. In prelims, Moore improved on his a career-mark as he swam 49.37.

Jack Neton swam 56.16 in the 100 breaststroke, good for fourth in the B-Final. Kyle Bailey won the C-Final as he came in at 57.23, after sliding into eighth all-time with his prelim time of 57.02.

In the C-Final of the 200 freestyle, Connor Barringer took third with a time of 1:41.72. Jake Goguen followed as he swam 1:42.14, while Michael Luna rounded out the order with 1:42.76.

In relay action, the Redhawks posted a combined time of 3:22.76 in 400 medley relay. 

The WAC Championships will conclude on Saturday with prelims at 11 am PT before returning for finals beginning at 6 pm PT. The prelims will be streamed on the WAC Digital Network (WDN) and on the WAC Sports Facebook page, while the evening session will be available on ESPN+ in the United States and WDN internationally.
