SEATTLE – Seattle University softball has released its 2021 schedule, as the Redhawks will host nine games at Logan Field this spring. SU will take on five opponents ranked in the NFCA Top 25 Preseason Poll.
SU will open the season at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. from Feb. 12-14, facing Utah three times, along with single games against BYU and the host, No. 16 Arizona State. It will follow with a pair of weekend tournaments at the University of Arizona, highlighted by contests with the third-ranked Wildcats and Oregon State.
From Mar. 5-7, the Redhawks will compete at the UNLV Invite. The next weekend, SU will play in the Husky Classic at UW. It will face No. 2 Washington twice and Portland State twice.
Seattle U begins WAC play on Mar. 26-27, as New Mexico State visits Logan Field on the first home weekend of the season. After an idle week, SU travels to Utah Valley for three games. The Redhawks return home for a series with California Baptist on Apr. 16-17.
A trip to new WAC member Tarleton State is next, with Dixie State, another new conference member, coming to Logan Field for senior weekend (Apr. 30-May 1). SU closes the regular season at Grand Canyon on May 7-8.
From May 13-16, Seattle U will serve as host for the 2021 WAC Tournament. The Redhawks remain defending WAC regular-season and tournament champions. They return every starter from the 2020 season.
