DENVER – For the second time this season, Seattle U's Darrion Trammell has been named TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, this for February 1 through February 7.
 
Trammell, a sophomore guard from Marin City, Calif., posted back-to-back 30-point games in a road split at Dixie State. The sophomore shot .500 from the field, .571 from three-point range and .769 on free throws to lead the Redhawk offensive effort. On Friday night, he scored 30 points on 10-of-22 shooting, adding five rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals, but Dixie State eked out a one-point win. He followed that up with another 30 points on Saturday, adding three steals and a block as the Redhawks cruised to a 77-56 win. On the season, Trammell leads the league with 28.7 points per game in conference play and 19.7 ppg overall, while his assists (5.7 per game) and steals (2.1 per game) are also a WAC-bests on the season.

The Redhawks continue WAC play this week back home in Seattle, hosting NM State on Friday, Feb. 12 and Saturday, Feb. 13. Tip off both days is set for 6 p.m. in the Redhawk Center. The games will stream live on ESPN+ and can be heard on the radio airwaves on KTTH 770 AM and mynorthwest.com.
 
Other nominees included: California Baptist's Gorjok Gak led the Lancers with 15.5 points per game as the Lancers took a win from NM State on Friday before falling on Saturday night … Dixie State's Hunter Schofield averaged 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as the Trailblazers split a pair at home against Seattle U … NM State's Jabari Rice averaged 18.5 points per game on .667 shooting as the Aggies split a pair of WAC-games with California Baptist … Tarleton's Tahj Small posted a near quadruple-double in the Texans' 97-26 rout of Southwestern Adventist, scoring 15 points to go with eight rebounds, eight steals and seven assists … UT Rio Grande Valley's Javon Levi dished out seven assists in a loss at Texas Southern to move into the WAC's top-ten with 565 career dimes.
