SEATTLE – Seattle University women's soccer has released its non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2021 season. The Redhawks will face two Pac-12 programs this month.
In accordance with state and local regulations and in the interest of public health, the season will begin without spectators in attendance at Championship Field.
For the health and safety of participating student-athletes, staff and game personnel, access will be permitted only to participating teams and essential workers.
Health and safety guidelines will be monitored on an ongoing basis to determine if limited capacity options become available at any point during the season.
Coach Julie Woodward embarks on her 24th season as bench boss at Seattle U. The Redhawks won the 2019 WAC regular-season and tournament titles in thrilling fashion, beating Utah Valley in double-overtime and then overtime to claim both crowns. SU advanced to the NCAA Tournament, where it nearly knocked off Washington in a 1-0 defeat.
SU took down Seattle Pacific, 2-0, in an exhibition before tying with Gonzaga, 1-1, in another exhibition. The Redhawks wrap their exhibition slate at Eastern Washington on Tuesday at noon.
The Redhawks kick off the regular season on Sunday, Feb. 7, as Washington State visits Championship Field. The Cougars advanced to the 2019 NCAA Final Four.
Seattle U then heads to UW on Friday, Feb. 12. The Huskies made it to the second round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
