COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Seattle University men's and women's swimming were recognized by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), on Tuesday, as each were named Division I Scholar All-America Teams.
The women's program, which posted a team GPA of 3.75, earned their 19th-consecutive mention in the CSCAA's semester honors since the 2011-12 season. Meanwhile the men, which notched a 3.31 team GPA, this announcement marked their seventh-consecutive time receiving the award and 18th all-time, also dating back to the 2011-12 campaign.
Both teams also respectively recorded their highest Fall term GPA's within the last five years, despite learning remotely during the 2020 Fall term.
During the Fall term, the CSCAA recognized a total or more than 450 institutions across all divisions of college athletics. In order to qualify, teams must post a collective GPA of 3.0 or higher during the semester/term.
