DENVER, Colo. — The Western Athletic Conference announced Wednesday, that Seattle U volleyball's Tijana Milojevic and Eve Kerschenbaum were tabbed Preseason All-WAC. The honor is a first for both and is the first time since 2017 that two Redhawks garnered preseason honors in the same season.

Milojevic finished last season ranked third among WAC leaders in total digs (491), en route to registering the third-most digs in a season by a Redhawk in the program's Division I-era. The native of Belgrade, Serbia, was also fifth in the WAC in digs per set (4.09) and aces per set (0.35), while tied for second in aces (42). Milojevic appeared in all 31 matches for Seattle U during her junior campaign, tallying double-figure digs 30 times, recording 20 or more on eight occasions.

Kerschenbaum put together a standout performance in her sophomore season, finishing the year among the top five on the WAC leaderboard in kills (3rd, 401), kills per set (3.45) and aces (t-4th, 40). As a result, the Wellington, Fla., native posted Seattle U single-season marks in kills (3rd), attack attempts (4th, 1,041), service aces (t-5th) and kills per set (8th). She also appeared in all 31 matches, registering double-digit kills 22 times and had eight double-double performances. 

The conference office also released the preseason poll, which saw the Redhawks garnered 21 points and projected to finish the regular season in a three-team tie for sixth with newcomers Dixie State and Tarleton.

Defending regular-season and tournament champion, NM State, topped the list with eight first-place votes and 65 points. Grand Canyon followed with one first-place vote and 55 points. UTRGV (48), California Baptist (42) and Utah Valley (40) were tabbed ahead of Seattle U. Chicago State rounded out the poll with 12 points.

Seattle U will open the Spring 2021 campaign on February 1-2, when they visit Orem to take on Utah Valley.
