SEATTLE – Seattle University Athletics worked through a challenging academic environment to post another terrific quarter in the classroom this fall. Seventeen teams compiled grade point averages over 3.0 in the fall term as the Redhawks had a 3.447 GPA.
Women's golf recorded a 3.917 to pace the department. Women's tennis (3.795), women's swimming (3.747), softball (3.693), and men's tennis (3.665) followed with strong showings in the fall. All told, 10 programs hit the 3.5 mark as a team. In addition to the five previously mentioned, men's basketball (3.501), men's cross country (3.549), men's golf (3.602), women's cross country (3.653) and women's rowing (3.547) also hit the mark.
A total of 53 student-athletes claimed a 4.0 GPA, while 95 Redhawks had at least a 3.9 grade point average. SU filled up the Dean's List (3.5 and higher), as 200 Redhawks qualified this term.
