SEATTLE – Teams around the nation are turning to cardboard cutouts of fans to fill empty seats in their venues. Many of those cutouts will end up in the trash at the end of the season. At Seattle U, we like to think outside the box, especially when we can help Mother Earth and some charities along the way.
Since we aren't able to have fans in the stands, we are filling them with teddy bears! Starting in January, the student section of the Redhawk Center will be filled with these fuzzy friends and you can claim one as your very own.
For a $30 donation, you can have a bear in the stands, and your bear will proudly wear a name tag with your name on it. At the conclusion of the season, these stuffed friends will be donated to a local children's charity, allowing your good deed to continue to live on.
