SEATTLE – Seattle University softball has announced the signing of Tai Wilson for the Class of 2021. Wilson is an outfielder from Fairfield, California.
Coach Geoff Hirai, entering his sixth season at SU, will add Wilson for the 2022 season. She will graduate from Vanden High next year. The 5-3 outfielder will be a four-year starter at Vanden. On the club circuit, she has played for the last two years with Sorcorer 18U Williams Gold. In 2018, Wilson helped Sorcorer Schroll 14U to an appearance in the PGF National Championship Game.
"Tai is a true triple threat at the plate," said Hirai. "She fits our style of play perfectly. We see her impacting us right away."
At Vanden, she has a career .564 batting average to go with 48 stolen bases. She won 2018 SCAC Player of the Year
Seattle U remains the defending Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Champions, having won the regular-season and tournament titles in 2019.
