SEATTLE – Walk or run to work off that Thanksgiving meal by taking part in the inaugural Rudy's Post Turkey Trot, a virtual 5K event, hosted by Seattle University Athletics in partnership with Redhook Brewlab and St. Francis House.
How It Works
- Between November 30 – December 6, complete a 5K all at once or break it up over the course of multiple days.
- Complete it your way – indoors or outdoors, running or walking.
How You Win
- Once completed, take a photo of your time and either tag or DM @goseattleu on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter along with #Rudys5k.
- Show off your creativity and SU Spirit! Additional photo submissions that include any of the following categories will have an opportunity to be featured on the Redhawks' social media channels – most SU spirit, most scenic route, cutest running buddy or pet, best dressed, location that is the furthest distance from Seattle.
All participants will receive a printable runner's bib, official event medallion and coupons to receive discounted $3 pints or $7 crowlers to-go from Redhook Brewlab. The first 25 registrants will also receive a pair of Seattle U branded Strideline socks.
In the spirit of the holidays, registrants will also have the option to donate to St. Francis House, which serves the homeless and low-income community in King County, and is currently putting together care packages for the winter months. St. Francis House is not currently accepting items as donation, but is accepting online monetary donations. For more information on St. Francis House, visit stfrancishouseseattle.org.
Sign up today! Registration fee is $30 per person and open through December 6. For more information or questions, contact Tim Frazier-Leslie at tfrazier-leslie@seattleu.edu.
