SEATTLE — The Seattle U volleyball team is a step closer to returning to the court, as the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) office released an updated league schedule for the 2020-21 academic year. The announcement come a week after the WAC Board of Directors approved changes to the schedule format that would minimize both travel and exposure.

The new look format, now has the Redhawks playing a nine-week league schedule that features a double round-robin with back-to-back matches on Monday and Tuesday between the same two teams at the same site.

Seattle U will open its league slate on the road with matches at Utah Valley on February 1-2. It will also make trips to Chicago State (Feb. 15-16), New Mexico State (Mar 1-2) and Grand Canyon (Mar. 15-16).

Meanwhile, the Redhawks will play host to both conference newcomers in Tarleton State (Feb. 8-9) and Dixie State (Feb. 22-23), before squaring off with UTRGV on March 8-9. California Baptist will then come to town on March 22-23 to close out the regular season.

The conference also announced that this year's WAC Volleyball Tournament is set for April 1-3, and will be hosted by NM State at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces.
