SEATTLE – Carley Nance of Seattle University softball has been named 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District®. With the 2020 season being canceled, voting was based off student-athletes' entire collegiate careers.
 
Nance, a redshirt junior from Maple Valley, Wash., has been a standout player in her three years at Seattle U. In 2019, she was picked NFCA All-Region Second Team, First Team All-WAC, WAC Tournament MVP, and Seattle U Athletics Female Athlete of the Year as the Redhawks won the WAC regular-season and tournament titles on their way to the first NCAA Division I Tournament appearance.
 
In 2020, Nance hit .275 with a pair of home runs and nine RBIs in 19 games. In the circle, she made 14 appearances, striking out 44 batters.
 
As a freshman in 2018, Nance claimed Second Team All-WAC recognition.
 
She has a 3.40 cumulative grade point average at SU.
