SEATTLE – With the Seattle University moving to online instruction in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Redhawk student-athletes excelled in the Winter 2020 quarter. Over 330 SU student-athletes combined for a cumulative 3.373 grade point average in the most recent academic quarter. The mark is up from the 3.286 GPA from Winter 2019 and also just above the 3.337 from Fall 2019.

All 18 sport programs achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or above. Topping that list include eight teams over a 3.5 GPA – women's golf (3.76), women's swimming (3.59), women's tennis (3.57), softball (3.57), men's golf (3.57), volleyball (3.55), women's cross country (3.52) and rowing (3.51).

In the quarter, 175 Redhawks picked up Dean's List honors, for those earning a 3.5 GPA or higher. A total of 71 student-athletes tallied a 3.9 or above, with 37 of those SU students claiming a perfect 4.0 for the winter.
