HOUSTON, Texas — The WAC Championships came to a close on Saturday in Houston with Seattle U finishing seventh-overall on the weekend with 139.5 points.

The highlight of the day for the Redhawks came in the weekend's final event, as the team of Will Corona, Greg Raper, Isaac Parker and Jake Goguen posted a combined time of 3:00.41 during the 400 freestyle relay. As a result, the quartet took the program's top spot with the fastest time in school-history. 

Corona also claimed sixth on the all-time performance list in the 100 freestyle, as he lead off the race with a blistering time of 45.60.

In the 100 freestyle, Raper led the way with a season-best time of 45.05, while Jake Goguen followed with a career-best at 45.50. Isaac Parker checked in at 46.08. Tyler Goodspeed and Alex Roderick rounded out the order for the Redhawks at 46.21 and 47.02, respectively.

Jack Neton scored a season-best 2:01.85 in the 200 breaststroke—falling eight-tenths of a second shy of his career mark. Will Corona logged a time off 2:04.05, setting a new career-best and moving to ninth on the Redhawks' all-time performance list. Kyle Bailey meanwhile swam 2:04.39, entering the program's all-time list at 10th.

Juan Varela began the day swimming the 1,650-yard freestyle in a season-best 15:55.07. Justin Kalugin followed at 16:09.74, cutting nearly 14 seconds from his previous season-best mark. Max Chesno rounded out the order, touching in at 16:10.29, a 13-second improvement on his previous season-best time.

In the 200 backstroke, Ryan Shaw led the at 1:49.11, while Zach Zenteno and Jaden Weiss followed at 1:52.85 and 1:54.24, respectively. 

Shawn Fujii headlined the 200 butterfly for Seattle U with a time of 1:52.36. Ryan Ascencio meanwhile clocked a time of 1:52.57, with Emmett Moore checking in at 1:53.22. All three times were season-best marks.

The Redhawks will now turn there attention to the CSCAA National Invitational Championships, held March 12-14 in Cleveland, Ohio.
