Men Seeded 3rd, Women 7th at WAC Tournament

Seattle University's men's and women's basketball teams will head to Las Vegas this week for the 2020 Hercules Tires WAC Basketball Tournament presented by TicketSmarter. The Redhawk men have earned the third seed in the eight-team bracket, while the women are seeded seventh.

SEATTLE – Seattle University's men's and women's basketball teams will head to Las Vegas this week for the 2020 Hercules Tires WAC Basketball Tournament presented by TicketSmarter. The Redhawk men have earned the third seed in the eight-team bracket, while the women are seeded seventh.

Women's play begins Wednesday, March 11 with four first-round games. Seattle U will head to Vegas as the seven seed for the second year in a row. The Redhawks, who are led by 17.6 points per game from Kamira Sanders, will take on second-seed Utah Valley in the first round on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The two teams split the home-and-home regular-season series, each winning on their home court. A victory over the Wolverines would move the Redhawks along to the 2:30 p.m. semifinal in Friday.

Seattle U's men have earned the third seed and begin play on Thursday, March 12 with an 8:30 p.m. tip-off against sixth-seed Utah Valley. The Redhawks are led by 20.7 points per game from junior Terrell BrownMorgan Means is adding 12.6 points per game for the Redhawks. Seattle U swept the regular-season series against the Wolverines, claiming an 83-50 win at home and a thrilling 87-85 overtime victory in Orem, Utah. A win for the Redhawk men would result in a semi final match-up against the winner of second-seed UTRGV and seventh-seed CSU Bakersfield on Friday at 8:30 p.m.

All women's games will be on ESPN+ and will be available for international viewers on the WAC Digital Network. For the men's tournament, Thursday and Friday's games can be seen on ESPN+ with Saturday's title game going over the air live on ESPNU.
