ABOUT THE SERIES VS CALIFORNIA BAPTIST
This marks just the fifth all-time meeting between Seattle U and California Baptist and the third as Division I members of the Western Athletic Conference. CBU holds a 3-1 edge in the series. The Lancers won this season's first meeting, 72-65, at the accesso ShoWare Center in Kent, Wash. Terrell Brown had 14 points for SU while Morgan Means and Mattia Da Campo chipped in 13 and 10, respectively.
Last year, the teams split the WAC home-and-home, each winning on their opponent's home court. The Lancers won the first meeting of 2018-19, 75-64, on Feb. 2, 2019 in the Redhawk Center. Terrell Brown led all scorers in the game, finishing the night with 24 points. The Redhawks returned the favor on Feb. 28, 2019 in Riverside., Calif., with a 67-65 thrilling victory. Delante Jones hit the game-winner - his only field goal of the night - with seven seconds remaining to secure the Redhawk win. Morgan Means had 21 points to lead SU, while Mattia Da Campo had an 11-point, 14-rebound double-double and Terrell Brown added 18 points. The teams' only previous meeting came during the 1987-88 season at the Hawaii Loa Tournament in Kaneohe, Hawaii. The Lancers won that battle, 71-66, over Seattle U.
QUICK HITS
- The Redhawks and Lancers will meet on the rare leap year date of Feb. 29. Seattle U last played a game on Feb. 29 in 2012, earning a 111-74 win over Longwood University.
- Seattle U sits in third place in the WAC standings headed into Saturday's match-up at CBU. NM State is unbeaten in first place, having already clinched the conference title and to seed in the WAC Tournament. CBU is in second, but ineligible for the WAC Tournament.

THIRD POTW HONOR FOR BROWN
Terrell Brown was named TicketSmarter WAC Player of the Week for Feb. 17 through Feb. 23. This marks the third honor of the season for the redshirt junior. Brown used a pair of big games to lead the Redhawks to two key Western Athletic Conference home wins and etch his name in the Redhawks' record books. On Thursday against Grand Canyon, he matched his career-high with 31 points and 10 assists, including his 1,000th career point as a Redhawks, becoming just the fourth player in SU's modern-day DI era to achieve the feat. He followed that up with 25 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 69-54 win over CSU Bakersfield on Saturday. On the season, Brown leads the WAC with a 20.3 points per game scoring average and his 6.2 rebounds per game rank fourth.
NEWEST 1,000-POINT CLUB MEMBER
Redshirt junior Terrell Brown joined the 1,000-point club on Feb. 20 with his 25th point of the night. He went on to finish the night by matching his career-high of 31 points. He achieved the feat in just 59 games, the second fastest in the modern-day era to the 1,000-point marker behind Isiah Umipig, who did it in 57 games. Brown added a 25-point effort on Feb. 22, giving him 1,031 career points at Seattle U. Brown follows Morgan Means as just the fourth player in the program's modern-day DI era.
PROTECT THE ROCK
Seattle U averages a WAC-low 10.5 giveaways per game, which also keeps pace among the nation's best. The Redhawks' mark ranks 9th among all NCAA DI teams in games played through Feb. 27.
DISHING HIS WAY INTO THE RECORD BOOK
Terrell Brown dished five assists on Feb. 22 versus CSU Bakersfield, bringing his season total assists to 139 and counting. The redshirt junior totaled 150 assists during his first season with the program in 2018-19. His current career total of 289 moves him into a tie for 7th with Clint Richardson (1975-79) on Seattle U's all-time top-10 list. Next on the list is dual-sport athlete Arne Klubberud (1995-99) who totalled 365 career assists. The all-time record holder is Dave Anderson (1981-85) with 619.
TERRELL ON A TEAR
Terrell Brown leads Seattle U in scoring (20.3 ppg), is second in rebounds (6.2 rpg) and first in assists (5.0 apg). His ppg average also leads the WAC and ranks 22nd in the country in games played through Feb. 27. Brown also ranks 16th in the country in total field goals and 25th in total points. He has lead the Redhawks in scoring in 22 of 28 games, has tallied 15 20+ point outings, has three times scored over 30 points and has a team-high five double-doubles. He has come within striking distance of a triple-double multiple times, most recently finishing with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists against Grand Canyon on Feb. 20.
1,000 POINT CLUB
Morgan Means scored seven points on Nov. 26 versus Western Michigan, giving him exactly 1,000 for his career. Most recently, the senior guard scored 11 points (Feb. 22 vs. CSU Bakersfield), bringing his current career total to 1,265. Means is the third Seattle U player to reach the 1,000-point mark in the modern DI era. Aaron Broussard (2009-12) finished his career with 1,271 while Isiah Umipig (2013-15) scored 1,164 career points.
