ABOUT THE SERIES VS NM STATE
This will be the 21st meeting all-time between Seattle U and NM State. The Aggies hold a 17-3 advantage over the Redhawks in the all-time series, including a 75-67 final in Seattle on Jan. 18, 2020. The Redhawks nearly pulled off a huge upset in the teams' last meeting at the Pan American Center. In front of nearly 12,000 fans at the Pan American Center on Feb. 17, 2019, Seattle U led the Aggies for nearly 32 minutes, but the lead would slip away late against the home team, which had lost just four conference games at home over the past decade. NM State would prevail, 59-53. The Aggies also won that season's first meeting, 87-60, on Jan. 17, 2019 at the Redhawk Center. The teams split the regular-season home-and-home series in 2017-18, each winning on their home court. The Aggies won 75-62 on Jan. 18, 2018 at the Pan American Center as the Redhawks could not overcome a 15-point half-time deficit. In the season's rematch at KeyArena on Feb. 17 for Senior Day, Jordan Hill poured in 24 points and Josh Hearlihy added 19 as Seattle U snapped a seven-game skid against the Aggies with a 73-63 OT victory. New Mexico State won the last meeting between the two sides, an 84-79 final in the 2018 WAC Tournament semifinals.
