SEATTLE – After three months off, Seattle U men's golf will open their spring season next week at the Pizza Hut-Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational, hosted by Southern Utah University. The tournament will last from Feb. 10-11 at the par-72 Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah, teeing off at 8:00 a.m. PT for one round of 18 holes on each day.
 
"We are excited to get our season started after a long lay-off," said Head Coach Mark Chandonnet. "The team has been working hard and is motivated to reach our lofty goals. I'm confident that our belief in who we are individually and as a group has been enhanced since our start last fall. It will be important to manage our expectations, have some fun playing the game we love and focus on appreciating the opportunity right in front of us."
 
The Redhawks will face squads from Air Force, Creighton, North Dakota, Northern Colorado, Southern Utah, Stetson, Utah State, Utah Valley, Weber State, Western Illinois and Youngstown State, as well as individuals from no. 4 BYU and no. 57 Utah. Seattle U stands as the highest-ranked squad in the team field.
