SEATTLE — The Seattle University women's swim team opens the 2020 portion of its schedule on Saturday, Jan. 11, as it welcomes Whitworth University to the Redhawks Center. The dual with the Pirates is scheduled to begin at 1 pm.

Saturday will be the first true home meet for Seattle U since October 18 when it hosted Loyola Marymount and Grand Canyon. The Redhawks have defeated Whitworth in each of the last five meetings, dating back to the 2015-16 campaign. This weekend's affair will be Senior Day for five Redhawks, as head coach Craig Nisgor and the team celebrate the career and contributions of Julia Gorman, Darian Himes, Maddie Rapp, Margaux Thompson, and Jayna Van Stone.

ARRR-BOUT THE PIRATES
• During the month of November, Whitworth rattled off four consecutive dual victories.
• The Pirates finished second-overall in the Logger Open on Dec. 8.
• The team is under the direction of head coach Steve Schadt, who is in his 17th season at the helm.
