ABOUT THE SERIES VS UTAH VALLEY
Seattle U and Utah Valley are meeting for the 20th time, with the Wolverines leading 10-9 in the all-time series. UVU swept the home-and-home series in 2018-19, winning, 88-78 in Orem and 77-68 in Seattle. Four Redhawks scored in double-figures at UVU last year, led by Morgan Means' 20 points. In Seattle, Delante Jones came off the bench to pour in 16 points to pace four Redhawks in double-figures. The teams split the home-and-home series during the previous two seasons, each winning on their home court. On Jan. 12 of this season, Utah Valley clinched an 88-78 win over the Redhawks in Orem.

- Seattle U concluded its WAC-opening weekend on the road with an 86-54 win at Chicago State.
- The win moved the Redhawks to 8-9 on the season and 1-1 in WAC play.
- The win snapped a six-game losing streak on the road to open the season.
- The Redhawks hit a season-high 14 three-pointers in the win. The mark was the most threes made by the Redhawks since draining 17 on Dec. 30, 2107 against UC Riverside.
- The Redhawks got 47 bench points in the win at Chicago State, the most the bench has contributed this season.
- The Redhawk defense also held the Cougars to just 18 field goals, the fewest field goals allowed by an opponent this season. The mark is one lower than the previous season-low of 19 against Long Beach State.
- Mattia Da Campo came off the bench to pour in a season-high 18 points, including an 8-of-9 free-throw performance. The senior also pulled down eight rebounds.
- Terrell Brown once again flirted with a triple double, finishing with 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Seattle U averages a WAC-low 11.5 giveaways per game, which also keeps pace among the nation's best. The Redhawks' mark ranks 27th among all NCAA DI teams.
TERRELL ON A TEAR
Terrell Brown continues to be the Redhawks' hot hand through the 2019-20 season. The redshirt junior leads Seattle U in scoring (20.4 ppg), is second in rebounds (6.8 rpg) and first in assists (4.6 apg). His ppg average also leads the WAC and ranks 28th in the country in games played through Jan. 8. Brown also ranks sixth in the country in total field goals and 10th in total points. He has lead the Redhawks in scoring in 13 of 17 games, has tallied nine 20+ point outings and has a team-high four double-doubles. On Nov. 9 against Eastern Washington, the Seattle native drained a career-high 31 points on 12-28 from the field and 6-9 from the free-throw line. He added 13 rebounds for his first double-double of the season, and sixth of his Seattle U career. He has come within striking distance of a triple-double three times, most recently finishing with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists at Chicago State on Jan. 4.
FREE POINTS
Seattle U's free-throw shooting has been a high-mark of the season as the Redhawks are 287-374 from the stripe, hitting at a 76.7 percent clip. That mark is second in the WAC and ranks 22nd in the nation in games played through Jan. 8. They also rank 5th in total makes and 12th in attempts. The team percentage is a marked improvement from one year ago when the Redhawks finished the season shooting 71.6 percent from the line.
1,000 POINT CLUB
Morgan Means scored seven points on Nov. 26 versus Western Michigan, giving him exactly 1,000 for his career. Most recently, the senior guard scored seven points (Jan. 4 at Chicago State), bringing his current career total to 1,1016. Means is the third Seattle U player to reach the 1,000-point mark in the modern DI era. Aaron Broussard (2009-12) finished his career with 1,271 while Isiah Umipig (2013-15) scored 1,164 career points.
