FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Seattle U women’s swimming put together another solid performance during day two of the Husky Invitational as two Redhawks met qualifying marks for the 2020 USA Swimming Future Championship.

Bryn Lasher began the day with a solid performance in the 100 Butterfly preliminaries, shaving .14 seconds from her lifetime-best mark and rewrote the second-best time in program-history as she touched in at 55.44. She then clocked the fifth-best time, 1:03.22, during the long-course meter version of the 100 Butterfly, earning her second spot in next summer’s USA Swimming Futures Championships.

Danika Himes meanwhile posted the eighth-best time during the 100 Breaststroke prelims, logging a time of 1:04.09, pushing her to fourth in the program’s all-time performance listings and securing a place in the Futures Championship In the finals, Himes took eighth in the 100-meter long course posting a time of 1:16.42. 

In the night session, the 400 Medley relay team of Allison Plamondon, Himes, Lasher and Audrey Dixon registered a combined time of 1:45.80 earning the quartet the sixth-best time in the program’s history.   

The Redhawks will wrap-up Husky Invite on Sunday (Dec. 8) with the third and final day of events beginning at 8:30 am.
