FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Emmett Moore and Will Corona highlighted day two of the Husky Invitational for Seattle U men’s swimming as the Redhawks saw more names added to the list of 2020 USA Swimming Futures Championship qualifiers.

Moore posted a lifetime-best in the 100-yard Butterfly preliminaries, coming in at a time 49.57, earning him ninth on the Redhawks’ all-time top performance chart.

Corona also had a notable day, setting a lifetime mark in the 400-yard Individual Medley, with a time of 3:58.71. The prelim round performance was nearly six seconds better than his previous best of 4:04.10. It was also his best time in the event and moved Corona into fourth-overall in the Redhawks all-time top 10.

Max Chesno also posted a lifetime-best in the 200 IM, clocking a time of 4:11.33, trimming 2.36 seconds from his previous mark. 

In the night session, Zach Zenteno logged a seventh-place finish in the long-course meter version of the 200 Freestyle, posting a time of 1:59.69 after qualifying for the final race with a time of 1:41.96.

Jack Neton then touched in at 1:06.62 in the long course 100-meter breaststroke. As a result of his time, Neton added his named to the growing list of Redhawks that have qualified for the USA Futures Championships. The junior qualified for the final race after posting a prelim time of 57.49 earlier in the day.

Seattle U will wrap-up action from the Husky Invitational on Sunday (Dec. 8) from the King County Aquatic Center.
