SEATTLE --- Seattle U volleyball will have a busy five days when it hosts three games in five days at the Redhawk Center beginning with Chicago State on Thursday. First serve is slated for 5 pm.

LAST TIME OUT
Seattle U went 0-2 on its first conference weekend on the road falling to Grand Canyon in three before being dealt a tough-luck five-set decision at CSU Bakersfield.

A GLIMPSE AT THE COUGS
Chicago State visits the Redhawk Center Thursday carrying an overall 4-14 record and 0-4 tally in conference play.
• Thursday will be the 13th meeting since 2013. Seattle U leads the series 11-1. The Cougars and Redhawks split the season series in 2018, each notching 3-0 results at home.
• Collectively, Chicago State began the week ranked 5th nationally in attacks (2,659), 10th in attacks per set (38.54) and 17th in digs (1,098). They were tabbed 33rd nationally in kills (852).
• Megan Klavitter anchors the backline with 5.58 digs per set and season total of 329 digs, respectively placing her atop the WAC leaderboard in each category, while also sitting at 8th and 16th on the NCAA charts accordingly.

A GLIMPSE AT THE ‘ROOS
Saturday’s contest with Kansas City will the ‘Roos last WAC trip to the Redhawk as they will be departing for The Summit League next season.
• Kansas City began the week tied for second in the WAC standings at 3-1 and carrying a 13-3 season record. 
• Per NCAA Stats, the ‘Roos started the week in the bottom half of the league in hitting (6th/.228), digs (7th/741), kills (7th/672) and blocking (8th/93.5), but lead the WAC in kills per set (13.18).
• Alli Schomers also started the week topping the WAC leaderboard in Aces Per Set (0.39) and Assists Per Set (9.86), while Tyrecia Lukes was second among WAC leaders in hitting (.364). 

WHERE WE RANK
The Redhawks went into the weekend ranked atop the WAC in team blocks (161.5) and service aces (96), good for 18th and 57th, respectively, among Division I programs. The team was also listed second on the WAC stats list in assists (781) and kills (845), while named third in blocks per set (2.24) and digs (970). The Redhawks’ 2,395 attacks was also 32nd nationally.

LOOKING AHEAD
Seattle U return to #WACtion at home on Monday, Oct. 14 as it hosts California Baptist at 6 pm at the Redhawk Center. The Redhawks will then wrap-up the week with at Utah Valley on Saturday.
