LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Seven members of Seattle University softball have been named Easton/NFCA Scholar All-Americans for the 2018-19 academic year. Ally Choate, Andie Larkins, Stephanie Merwin, Emma Mitchell, Natalie Montgomery, Shianne Smith, and Breanna Timmons earned individual honors. As a team, the Redhawks compiled a 3.472 grade point average.

To qualify, student-athletes must achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average for the academic year.

Choate claimed recognition last year, while the other six Redhawks are first-time honorees at SU.

Seattle U had its best season in program history in 2019, winning the WAC regular-season and tournament titles for the first time ever. SU then advanced to its first Division I NCAA Tournament, where the Redhawks beat Fordham to claim their first NCAA victory.
