SEATTLE --- The Seattle U volleyballl will host the 2019 edition of the Redhawk Invitational this weekend. The Redhawks, which are off to one of their best starts in recent history at 5-2, welcome Oregon State, Gonzaga and New Mexico to the Emerald City. The tournament will begin play on Friday, Sept. 13. at 10 am, with the last match slated for 6 pm Saturday.
BY THE NUMBERS
• Eve Kerschenbaum has a team-best 106 kills and is averaging 4.08 per set.
• Tijana Milojevic anchors the backline averaging 3.89 digs and has 13 aces through seven matches.
• Julia Queiroz is averaging 1.31 blocks per set.
• Ezgi Ozkan directs the offense with 9.57 assists per set and contributes defensively with 0.93 blocks a set.
• Lauren McCabe is hitting a team-best .305 with 33 kills.
• Collectively, the Redhawk attack is hitting .202 with 12.43 kills per set.
• The Seattle U defense meanwhile has been solid holding opponents to an averaging of .169 hitting with 11.57 kills. The SU defense entering the weekend is also paces opponents in digs, 403-368, which is 1.25 digs per set better.
