DENVER - Jessie Ray of Seattle University women's soccer has been named Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Offensive Player of the Week, for the period ending September 8. The senior scored two goals in the Redhawks' win at Idaho on Friday.

Ray, a native of Portland, Ore., recorded two goals in the first half at Idaho on Friday, sparking SU's 3-0 win. She finished a Kelsey Crosby assist on the first score and then made a steal and beat her defender before scoring from 20 yards out to collect her brace.

On Sunday at Gonzaga, Ray nearly scored again, hitting the crossbar on shot in the first half.

In 2019, the senior has three goals in six outings, most on the Redhawks. She has scored 20 career goals at Seattle U. This marks Ray's third career WAC weekly award.
