• Seattle U begins the 2019 regular season on Thursday night, welcoming No. 15 Washington State to Championship Field.
• SU was picked to win the WAC in the preseason coaches’ poll, marking the sixth time in the last seven seasons that the Redhawks were voted preseason favorites. Seniors Rachel Bowler and Jessie Ray were chosen All-WAC Preseason.
• Washington State was voted to place fourth in the highly-competitive Pac-12 preseason poll. The Cougars have advanced to the NCAA Tournament in each of the last two years, including a second-round appearance in 2018.
• Morgan Weaver paces the WSU attack, having scored 13 goals last season. She is on the Preseason Hermann Trophy Watch List.
• Coach Julie Woodward enters her 23rd season at SU. She has won 294 games at SU.
• The Redhawks won the 2018 WAC Tournament Championship, advancing to their fourth NCAA Tournament since 2013. SU is the lone Division I program to play in each of its last six conference championship matches.
• SU features seven seniors, four juniors, 11 sophomores, and 16 freshmen on this year’s roster.
• Seattle U will serve as host for the 2019 WAC Tournament Nov. 6-10 at Championship Field. The last time SU hosted, in 2015, the Redhawks won to advance to the NCAA Tournament.
