SEATTLE – Seattle University women’s soccer has announced the signing of Lauren Mukaigawa for its Class of 2019.
"Lauren is a multi-talented athlete who can play at left back or in the midfield," said Coach Julie Woodward. "She is going to add an attacking flare to our team from either position and we can't wait to get her on the field. Lauren is a phenomenal student, an active member of her community and a wonderful fit for Seattle U."
Mukaigawa is a native of Honolulu, Hawaii. On the club circuit, she played Hawaii Rush, Hawaii Surf, and Honolulu Bulls. Mukaigawa helped the Bulls win the 2016 Surf Cup title.
At Punahou School, the 5-5 forward/midfielder led the team in scoring each of the last three years. In 2017, she was all-state first team. As a senior, Mukaigawa earned All-Hawaii First Team honors.
