Kaylee Ree of Seattle U softball has been named WAC Hitter of the Week following a big weekend that saw the senior bat .500 over three games at Kansas City.

DENVER – Kaylee Ree of Seattle University softball has been named Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Hitter of the Week for the period ending on March 24. The senior was instrumental in SU’s series win at Kansas City over the weekend.

Ree went 6-12 at the plate across three games, tallying a 2-4 contest in all three outings against the Roos. In the first game of the weekend, the senior smashed a home run in the fifth inning as the Redhawks won, 6-3.

The native of Gresham, Ore., recorded a double and an RBI single in the second game Friday. She capped the weekend with an RBI double on Saturday and later singled and scored.

In 2019, Ree leads SU with eight doubles in 31 starts at second base.

SU welcomes Cal Poly for a non-conference doubleheader tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Logan Field.
