DENVER – ​Terrell Brown and Myles Carter were honored by the Western Athletic Conference Tuesday as each earned postseason awards. Brown was named to the All-WAC Second Team and the WAC All-Newcomer Team while Carter was selected to the WAC All-Defensive Team. All awards were chosen by a vote of the league's nine head coaches.

Brown, a redshirt sophomore hailing from Seattle, averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game during the Redhawks' 31-game regular-season. His play during the conference season elevated to another level as he led Seattle U with 16.3 ppg while adding 6.6 rpg and 4.0 apg. He had six 20+ point games during WAC play, including a pair of double-doubles, on his way to earning two WAC Player of the Week honors.

Carter, a redshirt junior from Chicago, has been a force to reckon with in the paint all season long. His 58 blocks ranks second all-time for a single-season at Seattle U and leads the league. During WAC play, Carter averaged 11.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. His 5.4 defensive rebounds per game ranked among the best in WAC games. Carter was also a two-time WAC Player of the Week honoree.

This marks the second consecutive season that the Redhawks have had multiple players honored with WAC postseason awards.

Seattle U completed the regular-season with an 18-13 overall record and 6-10 mark in the WAC. The Redhawks closed out league play by winning five of their final six games, including back-to-back overtime victories on the final weekend.

The Redhawks open WAC Tournament play on Thursday, Mar. 14 against Grand Canyon at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Tip-off between the third-seeded Lopes and sixth-seeded Redhawks is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
