SEATTLE - Jacinta Beckley, a 2019 Seattle University graduate, has signed with the Sunbury Jets of the Big V (Australia) for the upcoming season. Beckley is in the midst of her rookie season with BEAC in Hungary.
“I am super excited to be a part of the team and plan on working hard and doing what I need to do to add value to the team and hopefully contribute to another championship,” said Beckley.
Beckley, a native of Wellington, New Zealand, will join the four-time defending league champions in May after the conclusion of her season with BEAC. In Hungary, Beckley is putting up 8.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. She has made 38 percent of her three-point attempts in 17 games.
As a Redhawk, Beckley was a 2018-19 All-WAC Second Team choice after averaging 12.3 points per game and making 47 three-pointers. She was a key member of SU’s first-ever WAC Championship team as the Redhawks advanced to the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
On the international stage, Beckley has played for the New Zealand national team in 2015 and 2018, helping her country win the 2018 William Jones Cup last summer.
